Paris and San Francisco, August 3rd 2015 – Sculpteo announced an agreement with HP that sets Sculpteo as an official 3D printing service for Sprout by HP. The collaboration enables users to print their 3D scans which can be uploaded from Sprout’s platform to Sculpteo’s 3D printing services.
As Apple set the benchmark for 2D design and creation throughout the 1980’s and early 2000’s, this alliance between Sculpteo and HP ushers in a new era of 3D-enabled computing for creatives and designers. This agreement is a key touchstone for the 3D printing revolution, with Sprout becoming the go-to solution for creatives worldwide. Customers will benefit from Sculpteo’s expertise in high-quality, professional 3D prints and timely delivery services.
Sprout by HP is the immersive computing platform that redefines the design experience and lays the foundation for future technological advances. Sprout combines the power of a desktop with an ergonomic user interface to establish a new computing experience. By integrating a scanner, a depth sensor, hi-resolution camera and projector into one single device, Sprout allows users to take tangible items and seamlessly amalgamate them into a digital workspace. Alternatively, users can render their own 3D designs. Users can bring the Sprout 3D creations to life with Sculpteo’s expertise in high-quality, professional printing services.
Sculpteo, a cloud-based computing company, combines an online interface with a number of state-of-the-art 3D printers. Sculpteo offers high quality printing using a broad range of materials. Sculpteo’s R&D teams have developed a variety of software tools (3D Batch Control, Hollowing and FinalProof) which facilitate the user experience in the most intuitive way possible while optimizing cost. Sculpteo was awarded the “Best of Innovation” at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in 2013. Sculpteo has emerged as a champion of the new 3D industrial revolution. The start-up has clients worldwide and generates 50% of revenues outside of France including 25% in the US.
“This is exciting for Sculpteo to take part in history and to be at the forefront of 3D capable computing for creatives and have our company lead the way as a trailblazer in the second industrial revolution. This is a watershed moment for our company as well as the 3D printing industry as a whole.” said Clément Moreau, CEO of Sculpteo.
